Jessica has been a Board-Certified Music Therapist since July of 2012 and has been working with Central Ohio Music Therapy since November of 2012. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in music therapy, with a minor in psychology, from Baldwin-Wallace College. She completed her music therapy internship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Jessica has music therapy experience working with all ages and a variety of populations while working at Central Ohio Music Therapy, but specializes in working with psychiatric populations and children/adolescents with Adverse Childhood Experiences.
Ms. Fletcher graduated from Ohio University in May of 2015 with her Masters of Degree in Music Therapy, with a specialization in Child and Family Studies. Her thesis was entitled “We’re Free: The Impact of a Rap Writing Music Therapy Intervention on Self-Esteem of At Risk Adolescents in a Public Middle School Setting”. She is a member of the Association of Ohio Music Therapists and the American Music Therapy Association. She currently serves at the national level on the Workforce Development and Retention Committee as the Great Lakes Region Representative.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys making electronic music, getting creative in her garden, and guiding young Irish Dance teachers & contributing to choreography for the Ohio Valley School of Celtic Dance and Culture.
