Kylie Rodríguez, MM, MT-BC, Neurologic Music Therapist

Kylie has been a Board-Certified Music Therapist since January 2014. She received her Bachelors of Music degree in Music Therapy from Ohio University.  She worked as a Music Therapist at Giant Steps for 4 years, and graduated with her Masters in Music degree in Music Therapy from Colorado State University in May 2017.  She has a variety of therapeutic experience between her schooling and work experience.

After completing her coursework for her bachelor’s degree she completed her internship at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics.  She has experience providing therapy services within a children’s pediatric setting including the NICU, PICU, Rehab, and Oncology units.

Upon completion of her internship she moved to Chicago and worked as a Music Therapist at Giant Steps, a therapeutic day school for children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  She provided therapy services with children and young adults ages 5-22 years old working on expressive and receptive communication skills, cognitive skills, social, fine and gross motor skills, leisure skills, sensory regulation, and community readiness skills.

Kylie is a member of the American Music Therapy Association and the Ohio Association of Music Therapists. In her spare time Kylie likes to try new food and spend time with family and friends.”
