Childhood Focused Music Program

Music with Friends is a childhood music program led by a board-certified music therapist for children of all ages with special needs. Everyone is welcome to participate in these classes for individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or neurological needs or impairments. In these classes, children will bond, dance, sing, create, and enjoy making music together. Central Ohio Music Therapy strives to accept and include everyone in our classes, regardless of different ages, learning styles, or stages. Please let us know if there are any special accommodations needed for your child that we may assist with.
What you Need to Know:
Enjoy making music in the safety of your home!
- Sessions will last approximately 30 min and are limited to 5 participant maximum.
- Sessions will be planned with youth preferred music in mind while addressing social and academic skills developmentally appropriate for the group participants
- Sessions may include music listening and discussion, home instrument playing (ideas for homemade/improvised instruments provided), singing, moving and fun songwriting
What you need to participate:
internet connection, a Zoom account, computer/tablet/smart phone with video capabilities & an email account, (Headphones are recommended, but not required) in order to participate! *let us know if headphones are not possible due to physical, sensor and/or safety issues and we will work with you on this requirement
Sprouting Melodies
Early Childhood Music Program

Sprouting Melodies® is an award-winning early childhood music program. It is the only early childhood music program created by music therapists and offered through board certified music therapists who complete the early childhood training. Sprouting Melodies® offers a distinctly different, research-based approach to infant and toddler music classes. Age-specific classes for infants, toddlers, siblings and preschoolers include songs, instrument play and movement that encourage musical, social, physical, and emotional growth and development.

Babble, Bounce, and Bond: Music for Infant and Baby

Join Sara for making music at Babble, Bounce, and Bond: Music for Infant and Baby! This is an early childhood music program specifically designed for infants/babies ages 0-18 months led by a board-certified music therapist who has completed early childhood training. Babble, Bounce, and Bond offers a research-based approach to infant and baby music classes. Join this class to learn how to use music to promote bonding, growth, and development with your infant and baby!
- Enjoy making music with others from the safety of your home!
- Sessions will last approximately 30 min and are limited to 12 participant maximum.
- Sessions will be planned infant/baby development in mind and classes will include repetitions of songs to help parents learn the songs to use with their babies throughout the week
